So based on this premise we start with a sense of learning and inquisitiveness across generations with School of Noise, who run workshops for all ages exploring music and the science of sound. Their live shows take audiences on a sonic journey from how sounds are made and how they travel to where they end up. We make up for lost time by entering the mood-driven looped vocal sound painting of Plumm who is joined by Harpist and Producer Marysia Osu (combining harp, beats and dreams). Finally, we listen in on a conversation between performer KÉSIA DECOTÉ and composer Charlotte Botterill, presenting a series of moments in (piano) miniature exploring the ideas of isolation, friendships, loneliness and change, as well as observations of the natural world and its ability to lift one’s mood.
