We begin in Autumn with the shifting of the seasons, taking a tentative step together towards a new sense of home. We bring with us the soul-deep melodies and motifs of Run Logan Run (‘haunting, visceral and free’ – Jazzwise). Andrew Plummer’s WSR REDUX combines songs from the dark side of life and love (“an edgy mix of Wagnerian menace and Tom Waits husk”).
The church will ring, resonate and rasp with the free improvised melodies of trumpeter Charlotte Keeffe. One of our favourite musicians and music explorers, pianist and composer Matthew Bourne, will join in the conversations with the performers this afternoon. He is a friendly, welcoming performer and presence. Welcome back!
